ABOUT SHARON
Sharon Cattich has been a performer, teacher and coach for over three decades. Her accolades include Concerto performances with the Tacoma Young Artist Symphony and solo appearances as Sonia the duck in the Magic Circle Mime Company's performance of Peter and the Wolf. She has also had solo appearances with Seattle Symphony and performed with Tacoma Symphony, Bremerton Symphony, TCC Chamber Orchestra, and Orchestra of the Pianist House of Peers.
Sharon discovered a love for teaching in high school and has worked for many years as a private instructor. She has been proud to see her students go on to find success in state competitions and college auditions. Sharon has also worked for many years as a sectional and ensemble coach with organizations such as Tacoma Youth Symphony Association and Spokane Youth Symphony.
She studied with Bernie Shapiro (formerly of Seattle Symphony), Grammy award winning oboist Alex Klein, and finally, James Caldwell at Oberlin Conservatory of Music.
She currently teaches in the Spokane area, records music and works as a test supervisor at Jones Double Reed Products.
